A French fashion designer who was born in Italy on July 2nd, 1922. Today Mr. Pierre Cardin is known to be one of the five best-known Frenchmen throughout the world since 1960.
Mr. Pierre Cardin is known for his avant-garde style and his space age designs. He founded his fashion house in 1950 and introduced the “bubble dress” in 1954.
Out of the creation studios – true “Haute Couture and Design” Idea Laboratories, directed by Pierre Cardin, annually come 20.000 sketches, samples, patterns, models and mock-ups sent to the four corners of the world.

In the early-20th century Tootal’s was great success, buoyed by the fierce patriotism of the British public, Tootal was commissioned by the British Army during the Second World War to produce clothing for soldiers in the Royal Air Force.
